Hi Guys!I know I have been very lazy in writing on own blog but to be honest, I feel life incomplete when I am not writing something because it is basically my way of expressing my ownself. I think a lot , I want to write a lot but my laziness and love for sleep comes in between."Koi baat nahi, sangharsh jari hai,kabhi aalas jeet jata hai kabhi main".Anyways, Here are two write-ups that I wrote for the HR conclave organized by us at SIBM , Bangalore.One of this was used for Brochure and other was used for invitations.The first write up was used as it is and the invitation write up's portions were used so that the invitation doesn't become too long.The first line of Write up which is the literal meaning of AUDEAMUS clicked to the extent that The audi on the date of Program had Standies saying 'AUDEAMUS : Let us dare'.The student coordinator of AUDEAMUS who is also a very good friend of mine[Prateek],still has the same written in his room.Anyways, Build - up bahut ho gaya , Let's read the write - ups now.

We always have been a learning race throughout the process of evolution and we continue to learn even today. We learn from situations, people as well as other elements of nature around us. There are certain moments in this continuous process of learning called life when we learn , understand and imbibe most as compared to other moments in life. These are the moments when we are in the company of the Champions , The winners , the lions of mankind who symbolizes excellence in their own fields. The leaders whose sheer presence commands respect and whose every spelt word is capable of inspiring generations.

We at SIBM , Bangalore are honoured to have the presence of some such champions on 19^th Dec. 2009 for 2^nd edition of ‘AUDEAMUS’- The Annual HR Symposium.

Some feelings fired up again while commenting on a blog

This is a copy of my comment on sunil rao's(Friend at SIBM,Bangalore) blog.Now ,you must be thinking ki kahin bhi kuchh bhi likhta hai to apne blog pe daal deta hai.Well,I have lost a notebook containing some of my best poems so feels like saving every single word penned by me.Waise bhi,this one is worth saving since it contains some of my feelings which I wished to express since long.

Well said sunil!In fact,I had similar feelings when the elections for president and coordinators were going on.Among highly educated to-be-MBAs we had issues like Section,Native place,group being considered for voting.Hey!How does that matter if the person is well qualified in terms of skills and potential to do the job.And we blame illiterate or power-greedy politicians for what they do?They can do it because we let them do it ,and walk away winning it.
Somewhere I read that "In a democracy,people get what they deserve" and in the context of Indian politics ,this seems very very apt.We,the people are responsible for the kind of politicans we get,how public is treated by public servants,how bloody tiny countries like bangladesh,pakistan can think of sending terrorists in this country to create havoc and still get away with it,how a bangladesh can kill our soldiers and treat corpse as dead body of an animal,how people are humiliated by a few goondas in front of hundreds of mute spectators,how girls can be teased right in front of many,how castes can hold states to stand-still to demand for reservations on the merit of belonging to a particular caste,how politicians can even dare to go in front of public in spite of have taken the constituency from bad to worse.
Yes,we are responsible because we choose to be mute spectators.We choose to vote on the basis on caste,community,personal pehchan,religion, or in some cases on the basis of class sections.We choose to be mute spectators to the kind of behaviour we get from politicians and bureaucrats working either on their behalf or working due to their great policies(read reservations).
We ,as a democracy need to grow up.I loved the phrase-'Be the change you want to see in the world'.
It is also a matter of psychological and behavioral tendencies of choosing the familiar,something or someone which/who can fit into your perceived scheme of things or can benefit you(even at the cost of others).Khair,It is another big story...may be some other day......

p.s.-Me,you,we all are part of what I said.I am not excluding myself but yes at least honestly trying to get out of it,have succeded a bit and still trying.........

Hey !Know what .Yesterday,I got reply from gul panag (Actress and Former miss India) on twitter.I know I am sounding childish but more than the fact that I got reply from a celebrity,I am amazed at the greatness of this medium called internet which can do wonders to your life in terms of accessibility.
Here's what I twittered to her(I hope it is called twittered):

Hi anurag!I've been googling for 'Anurag Kashyap' and 'Piyush Mishra' only ever since I saw GULAAL.Before gulaal,I just heard your name and piyush mishra was an unknown name to me but Post-gulaal ,I feel Anurag kashyap is one of my most favourite directors and Piyush Mishra,a highly multi-talented personality.
GULAAL!OH MY GOD......What a movie...what a movie...!!!I watched gulaal about one month back but still it's scenes ,dialogues,songs play in my mind.The comments and references on India & The condition of society;the poetry of piyush mishra all remain with me all the time.Every actor,it seems ,gave his best to the movie and that needs a director like anurag kashyap to extract those performances out of them.I would specially like to congratulate kay kay menon(perhaps ,he is one the best actors in the industry today),Abhimanyu Singh(Ransa)-What a portrayal of a fearless,defiant rajput,his portrayal is as close to reality as it could be.I can say that since I am a Rajput myself and Finally,Piyush Mishra(unforgettable acting ,great....great....great lyrics,singing and music.).If I can remember something from my hindi textbooks ,'Aarambh hai prachand'-Ek Veer ras ki kavita hai aur 'Jab Shahar hamara sota hai'-shayad vibhats ras ki.I loved the poetry and songs of gulaal-another reason for it could be that I am a poet myself and Thus I understand the anger ,feelings and emotions that the poet must have had while writing those songs and poetry.Also,I can better understand the beauty with which he has expresesed everything in his dialogues,poetry and songs.
Last but not the list,You deserve thousand hugs from every true indian cinema lover for this movie.Every scene is so expressing and strong that those scenes play in my mind whenever I think about the movie(By now,I have seen it thrice-though I never watch any movie twice). As they say that cinema is a director's medium and 'Gulaal ' really is a masterpiece as a movie,as a medium of expression of/by Anurag Kashyap.
I saw your post on Gulaal and I would really like to congratulate you that inspite of so many roadblocks and problems you finally made GULAAL which for me is one of the best movies I've ever seen.People like you are going to be the future of Indian cinema.I don't know why but somehow I feel that you are different from many other bollywood celebrities who don't care much about their fans and that you care about every single comment on yourself and your work.I hope it turns out to be same as what I believe.Would love to be communicating with you in the future as well.

One more thing anurag!Even I would agree with comment no.310 by nisheeth that The end(of gulaal) was a bit not digestable.It was the victory of bad over relatively good.Was it that the plot slipped in the end OR is there anything else that I am not able to get (that you wished to symbolize through it).Also,Please clarify what the character-Ardhanarishwara symbolized?

Film review:Gulaal

Gulaal, according to me is a master piece directed by One of the most sensitive directors of Indian film industry today,Anurag Kashyag.The film boasts of masterly performances by Kay kay menon and some of the lesser known actors like Raja Chaudhry, Abhimanyu Singh, Deepak Dobriyal, Ayesha Mohan , Jesse Randhawa, Piyush Mishra and Aditya Srivastava.
I won't be narrating the story the story but would review the movie as a whole.The story and screenplay of the film is very tight and precise.Though the concept of a separatist movement for a separate Rajputana is way too fictional to be believed but it effectively captures the anger of aristocrats towards the till-now failure of democracy to achieve it's objectives effectively.The film has unforgettable performances by almost all the actors led by Kay kay menon as Dukey Bana,followed by Abhimanyu Singh as Ransa,Deepak Dobriyal as Bhati,Ayesha Mohan as Kiran,Jesse Randhawa as Anuja,Aditya Shrivastav as Karan,Mahie Gill as Madhuri,Raj Singh Choudhary as Dilip and last but not the least,Piyush Mishra as Prithvi Bana .There are clean and effective performances by all other actors too.To me,apart from kay kay menon's performance,acting of Abhimanyu Singh and Piyush Mishra stands apart and would remain with me for long.Kay kay menon has trancended to another level with this performance essaying all the anger ,emotions and stubborn nature of a Rajput leader.Abhimanyu Singh sets the screen on fire with his natural acting and dialogue delivery depicting a defiant Rajput Prince.Piyush Mishra is like Poetry in motion .He adds some light moments to the film still making you think with every line he speaks be it about India be it about the internal conflicts of human personality.
The music of movie is suited to the set-up of movie and has a local flavour to it.The lyrics of all the songs have deep meanings attached to them.Piyush Mishra has done a memorable work with the lyrics of songs.He has also sung few songs with equal excellence.Songs-'Aarambh';'Shahar' and 'Duniya' are absolute winners.Anurag Kashyap has added another feather to his cap by making such an explosive yet sensitive movie.
The film has earned a lot of critical acclaim .They might have given it a 3 or 3.5 on 5 but for me ,this is one of the best films ,I have seen in recent few years and I would rate it 4.5 out of 5.
